When is the best time to move?

Professional moving companies are busiest in the summer. The highest frequency of moves occurs from May to September. Take this into consideration, as well as weather conditions and your personal schedule.

When considering the best time, plan around your business hours to save money. Either move after hours or during the weekend to optimize your business operations, ease of the move and the cost.

The ideal time for a move depends on various factors – atmospheric conditions, holidays, government regulations, and moving policies. You should try to avoid peak season, if possible (summers and year-end). On a personal level, you should consider the urgency of the move, children’s education, and other family priorities. Better planning leads to a stress-free move.

How do I select a moving company for my upcoming move?

Look around for different companies serving your area and compare price, availability, and liability policies. Look for a company that is bonded, licensed, and insured. You may want to check companies’ records with the Better Business Bureau to get an idea of the quality of service.

When should I begin contacting moving companies for estimates?

The more notice you give your moving company, the easier it will be to tailor the move to your needs and schedule, especially during the busy season mentioned above. Six weeks from the move date is ample time to start bringing in estimators to complete a visual survey and provide a price quote.

How is the moving cost determined?

The moving cost is determined by the size of the move, the amount of movers and trucks needed, the amount of hours, if it is a local move, the size of shipment if it is an interstate move, and other services such as: packing labor, packing supplies, storage or disposal services.

What is a binding moving cost?

A binding moving cost is a moving cost that is not exceeded. It includes all the services you been provided and the list of your inventory that is to be move. At all times, the binding moving cost is to protect the customer from any additional costs. Any additional item or service is reflected through the final cost. The final cost can be discounted if your service needs change, such as deciding not to move items on the list or deciding to wave some services we agreed upon in the binding moving cost.

How do I get a binding moving cost?

Setting up a binding cost is as simple as meeting with our moving consultant. They will visit your office or business to visualize all your moving needs and then provide a custom plan and a binding moving coast accordingly or you may receive a binding cost based on accurate list of items to be moved.

What size moves do you handle?

We handle all size moves, from very small, a 5 boxes move, to very large, such as 10 trucks or more. The price for each move will be estimated accordingly.

Do you provide packing services?

We Move U offers both partial and full packing services, depending on your preference. We provide partial and full packing service to meet the needs and budget of our clients. Please meet with our moving consultant to determine the packing services to meet your needs.

What is partial packing and full packing?

Partial packing means packing of a few items only. These items can comprise some of your belongings like TV sets, fragile items, upholstered furniture, etc. However, full packing means that our team will pack everything for you. You will only have to take care of your documents and valuables.

What if I need more packing material at the last moment?

Our truck comes fully loaded with all that you might need. At last moment if you require any packing material, it will be with our team.

How much time does the entire moving process take?

It depends on many factors, like the time of move, shipment size, distance, and the choice of mover and packer. At We Move U, we offer consultation before executing a plan for your move. The time duration is estimated thereafter – and strictly adhered to.

Can you move us after business hours or over the weekend?

We provide moving services 7 days a week and 24 hours a day to ensure your business’ optimum operations.

Is there an increase in the moving cost if the move is after business hours or over the weekend?

The moving cost is not dependent on what time of day or what days you decide to move. We want to work at your convenience, enabling a cost efficient move for your business.

Do you provide storage facility?

Short and long-term storage is provided for any size moves. Our storage facilities are secure and safe. The facilities are water and fire proof, climate controlled and have an alarm system.

Is your company insured and licensed?

We are a fully licensed and insured moving company. WE hold all licenses and can provide the necessary documentation upon reservation for your move.

Do you provide unpacking service?

We provide partial and full packing to meet with your needs and budget.

Do you dissemble and reassemble furniture’s?

We have all the necessary tools to disassemble and reassemble your furniture if needed. Be aware that disassembly for some furniture is not recommended for different reasons. If you happen to have furniture that cannot be disassembled, we will find alternative ways to move it.
